The Second Biomedical Data Science Summer School and Conference (BIOMED DATA 2026) will take place in Budapest from July 06-17, 2026. This two-part international event combines a 7-day intensive Summer School (July 06-14) in health data science with a scientific Conference (July 15-17) dedicated to cutting-edge research in data-intensive biological and medical sciences. The two events can be attended independently, and participants may also choose to attend both as a combined two-part program. Topics include machine learning and AI in biomedicine, multi-omics integration, medical imaging, natural language processing for clinical texts, explainable AI, computational modeling, digital health, network science, causal inference, and biostatistics. Keynote speakers include David Fenyo (NYU), Petra Vertes (University of Cambridge), Jorg Menche (University of Vienna), and Andreas Dengel (RPTU and DFKI). The event also features networking programs, and the Conference Abstract Book will be published with an ISBN.
The program offers rigorous academic training in biomedical data science, combining lectures by leading international experts with hands-on practical sessions in machine learning, AI, multi-omics integration, medical imaging, network science, and biostatistics, alongside a research-focused conference highlighting innovative methodological advances in data-intensive biological and medical sciences. The two events can be attended independently, and participants may also choose to attend both as a combined two-part program.
