The Tropical Architecture Summer School in Bali is an intensive 4-week program designed for students, aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals eager to explore sustainable design in a tropical context. Hosted by Institut Desain & Bisnis Bali (IDB Bali), the course combines lectures, hands-on workshops, cultural excursions, and a studio project focused on resort and hospitality design. Participants gain in-depth knowledge of Balinese architecture, green building practices, and interior design, earning up to 12 transferable academic credits. No formal prior training is required. Set in one of the world’s most architecturally rich environments, the program offers a unique blend of traditional wisdom and modern eco-conscious design. With site visits, expert-led sessions, and collaborative projects, attendees develop practical skills while experiencing the vibrant culture and landscapes of Bali.
