About this camp

Earlscliffe is a sixth form college in Folkestone that becomes an SBC summer school in the holidays. It sits in the west end of the town, within walking distance of the beach, the Leas promenade and the town centre, and 54 minutes from London by train.

Classes are capped at 12 students, the smallest of any SBC campus, and students receive 20 hours of teaching a week. Three courses run in summer 2027: Global Leadership, Business: Mini-MBA™ and Think Global!

Each pairs a subject focus with English-language development, so students spend the course discussing, negotiating and presenting in English. Students live in en-suite rooms, mostly twin with some single and triple rooms, a short walk from their classes.

Two full-day excursions run every week: every student visits London, and other trips include Canterbury and Thorpe Park. Accommodation, all meals, towels and bedding, a weekly laundry service, the activity and excursion programme and a leavers' party are all included.

Every student finishes with a progress report, a certificate of completion and a personalised reference letter from their tutor, which sets out what they achieved and can support a university or job application.
