About this camp

The programme nurtures curiosity, independence, and character, equipping students with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Built around three core pillars, each student designs a personalised experience that reflects their academic interests, future ambitions, and individual passions.

By selecting one Applied Learning Pathway, one Growth Workshop, and one or two IMPACT Skills, every participant creates a summer programme that is purposeful, engaging, and uniquely their own.

At every stage, IMPACT Summer fosters creativity, collaboration, and resilience—encouraging students to think deeply, work confidently, and contribute meaningfully. Follow the simple steps to begin shaping your IMPACT journey.

IMPACT’s signature Hackathons are immersive, fast-paced events where students tackle real-world challenges under the guidance of industry experts.

Embedded within the curriculum, these Hackathons cultivate creativity, collaboration, and self-assurance, empowering students with the skills and confidence to innovate, lead, and excel in an ever-evolving world.

Academics

The IMPACT Programme combines three core pillars to deliver a tailored learning experience:

  • Applied Learning Pathways – Students select one specialist area such as English for Global Leaders, Innovative Entrepreneurialism, Engineering & Technology, Science & Bio-ed, Computer Science, Robotics & AI, and more.
  • Growth Workshops – Students choose one workshop focused on personal and professional development, including Career Growth, Academic Growth, Social & Personal Growth, or Leadership & Communication.
  • IMPACT Skills – Students can either master one skill across all sessions or explore two skills for variety, covering areas like creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

What you'll do

  • Excursions
  • Music

IMPACT offers a vibrant leisure and social programme designed to enrich learning beyond the classroom. Students enjoy excursions to iconic landmarks, museums, and cultural sites, including a day in London and a visit to Oxford or Cambridge.

Evenings feature a dynamic mix of on-campus activities—such as music festivals, colour runs, and open-air cinema—and off-campus trips like bowling, laser quest, and trampoline parks.

The programme culminates in a celebratory final Saturday with a keynote address, networking dinner, and the IMPACT Graduation and Awards Ceremony in Tonbridge School’s historic hall.

Accommodation and food

Students stay in one of Tonbridge School’s seven boarding houses, each fostering a supportive, close-knit community. Rooms are arranged by age, with younger students sharing to encourage friendships and older students enjoying more private spaces for independence and study.

Each house offers communal areas for relaxation and socialising and is overseen by a dedicated pastoral team. Staff are available throughout the stay to ensure a secure, inclusive, and comfortable residential experience that promotes both personal and academic growth.
